Stirring Poison into Medicine

From the ashes of grief

And tragedy,

I have grown,

Grown brighter,

And bolder,

Beneath a black veil,

Spring rays,

Winter rains,

Feed a different seed,

I’ve never seen this colour,

The flower,

But I recognise it,

As another incarnation,

Of my smiles,

My tears,

Of an adult manifestation,

Of me.
